One of the most memorable things at MacWorld 2008 was Steve Jobs pulling out MacBook Air from a Manila folder. That folder was no ordinary folder. It’s handmade, the material a soft “upholstery-grade vinyl” and used a lining made of fleece. Dang! I wish I could lie on such luxurious material, but no, dubbed “AirMail,” it’s especially made for Steve Jobs latest baby. However, if you have $29.95 lying around you can have the same Manila folder delivered to you in two weeks from this site. All the details of the Manila folder from MacWorld are there, including the red thread fastener.
Honestly, as a notebook sleeve, it’s not too bad. It can even become, like the iPhone, a game changer for laptop sleeves. Too bad Apple doesn’t make ‘em.

I know the MacBook Air fits in this nicely but can anyone tell me if another ultraportable, say the Portege R500 fit too?

I think Dell’s XPS M1330 can fit right in, being also a 13-inch “slim” laptop.

“Manilamac”. I wonder if Apple won’t sue the company for the name. This fully sanctioned by Apple? I checked the Apple store. The product isn’t there yet.

I wonder if “AirMail”, the other name for “Manilamac” is owned by Apple.

Have you actually seen/touched the product? Or is this “review” based on the picture and description? Assuming the former, how on Earth did they make prototypes and distribute them in just a couple of days (given that they aren’t in the business of actually making stuff)?

Er, yes it was. THIS is no ordinary folder, but THAT was a perfectly normal one from Office Depot or Staples or wherever the hell they buy their stationery.
