Greenpeace has been on Apple’s back for many years for being an enemy to planet Earth. But now, the international environmental group has changed tune and they were practically doting on Apple’s new baby.
The MacBook Air aluminum covering is 100% recyclable. The LCD glass is mercury and arsenic free and the circuit boards BFR-free and PVC-free, not to mention that this super-slim ultraportable laptop comes in a packaging that costs the Earth 50% less material… All contributing to a greener laptop and heavier MSRP for us buyers. Not to complain but Apple could make the MacBook Air even greener, says Rick Hind, legislative director of Greenpeace’s toxics campaign. The Macbook Air has less toxic PVC plastic and less toxic BFRs, but it could have zero and that would make Apple an eco-leader.”
Well, if there is an electronic manufacturer than can do it, it is Apple.
