I am having exactly the same problem. Is there anything on Apple to help us out? My Internet only works with the LAM cable airport has a full signal but no Internet. My mother Mac book has the same problem as well.

Thanks, everyone for the helpful emails, but I already found the solution. It's even weirder than I thought. It appears that Airport was turned on to preferred networks and Ethernet was turned on to manual. I swear I never opened up network setting on my Mac. In short, it's acting up like Windows.

Does any body know if there is a bug in Leopard which prevents you from logging onto a WEP hex secure network? I have been trying and AirPort doesn't even give me the option of selecting WEP hex (only WEP) when I click on the network (which is encrypted using WEP hex). Please help...................!!!!
